Consolidation
2012 was a year of consolidation and we had shifted our business operation to 19 Gul Crescent. We had also completed the construction of our automatic storage and retrieval system for long length cargos, the first of its kind here in Singapore after starting in 2016.
In 2018, we took up a majority stake holding in Sin Ghee Huat Corporation and subsequently bought then over.
Stainless Steel
In the early 1990s, we had made the decision to bring in Stainless Steel materials due a shift in market demand. This proved to be a profitable venture by the early 2000s as we shifted our organization’s focus to mostly stainless steel
In the year 2000, we had purchased our current warehouse at 19 Gul Crescent which we are located at currently.
Incorporation
1983 marked our incorporation date as Hong Hock Hardware Pte Ltd.
The 1980s saw us expanding both our storage facilities and as well as our storefronts before landing on 27 Hamilton Road.
Hamilton Road of the 1980s and 1990s was a prosperous area for both stockists and traders alike.
The Commodity Boom
In the early 1970s, during the period of the cold war, we had bought in our first batch of non-ferrous metals – Brass, Copper & Bronze.
A large surge in commodity prices marked the start of a very profitable era. The Boom in business resulted in us outgrowing our store front and moving to 379 Victoria street.
Hong Hock
Founded by the late Mr. Low Hong Kee in 1964.
We began our journey as a dealer of scrap materials at 42A Crawford Street.
