In recent years, the issue of global warming has been in the spotlight for nations worldwide. Governments have banded together under the Paris Agreement including our country, Singapore, whom has pledged to limit our global warming emissions and to achieve net zero emissions by 2050 in order to meet the 1.5°C global warming target as part of our country’s long term strategy.
As one of the largest stockists of stainless steel products here in Singapore, our team has been exploring options for the supply of green stainless steel to do our part in contributing back to the circular economy and had finally decided to take the leap of faith with our long term partner, Outokumpu.
This marks an ambitious step to spearhead our sustainability efforts in reshaping Singapore’s stainless steel industry with many more to come in the foreseeable future.
Outokumpu Circle Green
HH Group is proud to partner with Outokumpu to introduce Circle Green, the worlds first towards-zero stainless steel as a pioneer in the Asia Pacific region.
Circle Green has the lowest carbon footprint in the industry – a reduction up to 93% when compared to industry average covering scopes 1-3. Outokumpu’s Circle Green® production was the first of its kind globally, as no other stainless steel manufacturer has been able to produce stainless steel with such low emission levels when taking into account all the climate emissions from raw material extraction through the whole production chain.

Made of up to 100% Recycled Content
Outokumpu has replaced their primary raw materials with recirculated raw materials, and as a result, Circle Green Products are made of up to 100% recycled material
Produced using renewable and low-carbon energy
Outokumpu is only using renewable sources like biogas, biodiesel, bio-coke and low-carbon electricity in the production processes eliminating 95% of all scope 1 and 2 CO2 emissions.
